What are database requirements?

Websites use a database often for two reasons:

• Content management tools - Do you plan to update your website through an admin tool?
• Data manipulation - Does your site contain a member search, product list, or shopping cart?

If your site has no database, it simply means it is what's called a "static" site, meaning, your site is edited by hand by a webmaster.
